Island Studies Institute, a cooperative endeavor of Hofstra University
and Nassau County.
Untimely Death
The unfathomable human
loss, cutting across the barriers which divide us: sex, race, age, ethnicity,
religion, national origin.
May we find the strength to come to terms with our profound losses and
come together to rebuild not only our infrastructure, but our wounded
hearts and national psyche.
